Arrival at Cochin airport/ railway station. Then to Munnar (120kms- 3 hrs). This beautiful hill station was once the summer capital of the British Government in India. The never ending vast expanse of tea plantations and the round the year moderate climate makes it a little haven for visitors. The day at leisure
Day 2: Munnar
Morning after breakfast to Rajamala (15 km from Munnar). This is the natural habitat of the Neelgiri Thars. Half of the world's population of these rare mountain goats is found here. Then to Marayoor. This route will give you a complete view of the natural beauty of Munnar. Lunch at Marayoor. Marayoor is the only place in Kerala where there is a natural growth of sandalwood trees. Another attraction is the Muniyaras or caves, which dates back to the new Stone Age and the children's park formed under the canopy of single Banyan tree spread across a hectare of land. In the evening they can spend some time near the Thoovanam Waterfalls. By night fall back at the resort in Munnar.
Day 3: Munnar
After breakfast, check out from the hotel/resort and then straight to Cochin for a bit of city site seeing or shopping. By evening drop at Bus station/ railway station/ airport for onward journey.
